Devils Head Cactus

This cactus also goes by the name turk's head cactus, blue barrel cactus, eagle's claw, horse maimer, horse crippler, and visnaga. It's botanic name is Echinocactus horizonthalonius var. horizonthalonius. This example was photographed in the Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, Arizona.
