Matauri Bay

A popular surf and dive spot, Matauri Bay became the underwater home of the Rainbow Warrior, the Greenpeace vessel blown up in Auckland Harbour. Now an artificial reef and home to a complex ecosystem, the Rainbow Warrior has become a popular dive destination.
